Fair Trade Fortnight

1st March 2017
Fair Trade Fortnight
It is Fair Trade Fortnight and we wanted to understand what it is all about so that we could take part. John visited us to explain what it is about. He began by explaining about the significance of Fair Trade symbol - can you see a fish, or a person waving? Fair Trade is strong in Warrington, our community is already playing a part, we think it is important to keep going. The Fair Trade initiative has been working for 23 years to make sure that people are paid a fair price for producing their goods for the world to share. Lots of products carry the logo and by shopping carefully we can enjoy our favourite things and help others. Bananas are a Fair Trade product, but so is some chocolate! Fair Trade doesn't always mean healthy eating so we must make sure we eat our Fair Trade products responsibility.
